Windmill Blade

One day, on our way out to the cottage, we happened to see this windmill blade loaded on a truck! I got out of the car to take a photo - I am actually standing kitty-korner across the intersection. You can see the truck cab on the far left side to get an idea of the scale. It was absolutely huge! Rick has seen several of these since traveling along the road. They must be manufactured somewhere convenient to US12. Anyway, it was a pretty wild sight!

Shower Tile Mural

This is a tile mural I made. I rolled a clay slab, cut the pieces out of it, numbered them, and then after the usual drying and finishing, glazed them. Rick installed it on the wall. Although you can't see in this photo, it is set into 4x4 white tiles with a border of 2x2s as a frame. This is in the downstairs bathroom.

Here is a cute little fishy rug I picked up at a garage sale for 25 cents! This is in the downstairs bathroom also. The tile in this photo looks green, but it's actually turquoise and white.

More little details: a mix of fabrics, a barkcloth lampshade made by yours truly, and some funky stuff, including a pin-and-bead flower basket (from the 50s?) Also, the little bird finial on the table lamp is a pomander, which happened to fit perfectly on the top of the lamp!

Here is my pink and green and yellow front porch - bright and sunny! It makes me smile!

My perennials are starting to fill in - lots of yellow and pink Daylilies, some Veronica, Balloon flowers, Asiatic Lilies as well as dwarf Alberta Spruce and variegated Euonymous. Blooming now are the tulips, Narcissus and some Grape Hyacinth.

Here is a closer shot of that broken concrete.

The spring flowers are blooming and everything is green - beautiful! Here are some photos of my little front patios, which I made out of broken concrete, and the front porch.
